UNIPET Powers UWI Faculty of Science and Technology’s Computer Lab using SOLAR Energy

At UNIPET we are dedicated to building a more resilient and sustainable energy future on which we can all depend. It is with this in mind that we Solar Powered 42% of the computers within the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) lab at the University of the West Indies (UWI). This Corporate Social Responsibility initiative is part of our journey to environmental conscientiousness and sustainable renewable energy. Students were engaged in workshops taught by Mr. Devanand Mastay, expert in Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy, to enhance their knowledge in this area.
Delivering the Featured Address at the official launch held Wednesday 16th November 2022, at the Main Salon, Office of the Campus Principal, the UWI, St. Augustine was Minister of Education, Dr. the Honourable Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, who underscored the importance of such initiatives and collaborations that are mindful of the environment all geared toward a sustainable future.
